Had the absolute worst experience for a first time home buyer. I was not sure on how the process worked for financing and all they asked for was a tax return, didn’t take the time to look at it then proceeded to tell me I didn’t have everything I need and try again in the future when they never asked me for anything else. Plus I had to call and double text just to hear that meaning they had no intentions on getting back to me. If you’re a a first time buyer buy / finance through ANYBODY else these people suck and will discourage you for no reason.

Shay Lewis from Coldwell bank was very dis-appointing to work with. She was so pleasant in the beginning of our interaction over the telephone. When it was time to deliver her services, she copped out the day of and said it was due to me telling her I was not ready to buy for six months.

The kicker is that I mentioned that I was not interested in buying for six months on our original conversation when she asked me my timeframe. I asked Ms. Shay would it be a problem. She pleasantly answered, no, not at all. Ms. Shay asked me would I like any one else to join us when touring houses. I said yes. Her response was great, no problem. 800 miles later, I’m told, oh I can’t show you any houses because you are not interested in buying for six months. Caldwell bank, you have always had a good reputation in my book. This representative of your bank is awful. Please train the ones working for you. I won’t be back and I will tell everyone of my experience. An apology from you is the least you can do. Shay Lewis-smh

Meh. Watch out for last minute tacked on fees for “administrative” work, etc.

The agents who show you houses only get about half the commission. The office - the people you never meet and whose office space you might see at closing - takes the rest. What that part of the money goes to - anyone’s guess.

Last gasp from an industry that is getting slowly phased out. Good thing they have a powerful lobbying group.

When I bought my house you bet I took an axe to that obnoxious sign that they told me they would take down in “about a week.”

We just recently tired to view a home 1455 intervenus street, i was directly discriminated against liz frame. directly to keep it plain n simple they requested to show her proof of funds which is i do i the only thing that i need to complete was a bank transaction statement keep in mind my trust is fairly new and i made it clear that i would get that for Liz frame . She also told my wif who has medical problems directly over the phone that because we didn't show up or want ot see the home anymore that were were a bunch of scammers and to never call her again i can almost guarantee you that if we were white this would have never occurred. 100 percent/
